Cabo Del Sol Golf Club and Resort offers its visitors two championship courses with five tee boxes to choose from.

Ocean Course – A world-renowned Jack Nicklaus Signature design stretching for more than a mile along a coastline of craggy rock outcroppings and sun-washed shores. This championship layout is praised by Nicklaus himself for having the “three finest finishing holes in all of golf.”  The 5th and signature 17th holes are currently ranked among “The 500 Best Holes in the World” according to Golf Magazine (January 2000).

Desert Course – Designed by Tom Weiskopf and opened in January of 2002. The Desert Course is accessed by the same clubhouse as the Ocean course, spreading around it and across the other side of the highway up the mountainside. As a result, every hole has an ocean view. Throughout the desert course, you will notice several Weiskopf trademark features. Many of the holes have false fronts, which means you will inevitably seen your ball rolling away from you should you not land it squarely on the green. There are also “elephants” in the greens – interesting undulations – requiring patience and strategy when putting. To play this course well, you should consult the players booklet handed out by the starter or you will be misled by what you cannot see from the tee box. Rocky outcrops look as if they make the fairway too narrow to hit, until you arrive and find it opens out behind the rock face. This is a thinker’s course and Tom Weiskoft places long difficult holes followed by make able ones. The par-5 third hole is a long 626-yards and tough since you are invariably playing into the wind while the par-4 fourth is more forgiving. There is not much water to be seen on this course but plenty of arroyos and rocks to challenge even the most talented player.

Home to two PGA Senior Slams, and a host of other prestigious golf tournaments, the 7,037 yard Cabo Real Golf Course designed by Robert Trent Jones II has what is considered the toughest front nine of golf in Los Cabos.

Its three spectacular ocean front holes put Cabo Real on the golf world map in 1996 when whales put on a spectacular show breaching just yards offshore during the Senior Slam golf tournament. Long considered the favorite of many pros, the Cabo Real course is a must during any visit.

Golfers will surely enjoy this Dye-designed 18-hold golf course known as the Cabo San Lucas Country Club.  The Club is set amid endless cacti and blooming bougainvillea bushes and is the area’s only course offering views of the famed landmark, The Arch at Land’s End.  This breathtaking course flows gently through groves of magnificent Palo Blanco trees and stately Cardon cacti, accented by grand expanses of sprawling fairways.
