Call for reservations. Fancy Mexican food right on the beach – my new must see restaurant.  For great pictures it’s just beautiful at night with lots of lights and fire.

BEL AIR HOTEL**

This is the hotel on the other side of the road from the guard gate.  They have an

“open air” restaurant serving breakfast, lunch daily and dinner on Fri., Sat. & Sunday only.  It is an awesome view in the evening and the food is good.  Easy to walk to and is usually not crowded.

MI ENSELADA**

Right outside our gate and to the left.  Excellent breakfast

(latte’s), lunch (salads, tacos, burritos) and dinner (lobster, fish).  Very reasonably priced and they serve beer & wine.  A great walk in the am for coffee and breakfast.

MAMA MIA’S***

Right on beach at Coral Baja (white hotel on left side of La Jolla when facing water).  Good food and very reasonable – different events in evenings (karaoke, fireworks, fajita night, etc.).

ZIPPERS**

Cash only right on beach very casual.  Lunch & dinner 1/2 mile from house.

Food not as good as it used to be, but great location.

DECKMAN**

This is right by the house – you can walk.   Good food, little pricey, cash only and they have jazz or salsa music.  Go right out of La Jolla and it’s the first building on right.

CABO SURF HOTEL (Seven Seas Restaurant)****

This is 1 mile from the house and is a great location for dining (breakfast, lunch or dinner) the food is great.  It is right on the beach with a great view of the surfers.  It is excellent for sunsets. Reservations recommended for dinner.

NIK-SAN SUSHI****

This is just a wonderful place for sushi and other excellent dishes.  It is 1.5 miles

from the house at the Palmilla exit.  Turn right at exit and right again into shopping center.  You can sit outside (or in) with view of the Palmilla golf course and ocean.  It’s the owner angel’s 2nd location in Cabo and I think it is his most beautiful one yet.   

Fishing (Angel can also set you up for fishing  call him on his cell and let him know you are staying at the Tooker Villa, he has 2 33’ boats and 1 23’ they do a great job of cooking your fish also – it’s a 10.

PALMILLA*****

Reservations Required Absolutely drop dead awesome if you have $ to spend.  The restaurant is Agua’s and it is high $30’s for dinner.

PITAHAYAS Pacific Rim Cuisine****

This is one of my favorite restaurants and is located in the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar.  The atmosphere is very romantic and the decor is

stunning. Entrées range from $8 to $39 U.S. They are open daily from 5:00 to 10:30 p.m. with live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. With seating for 124, and groups up to 300. Dress is formal and reservations are suggested.

Flora’s Farm is located in The Animas Bajas farming community, 10 minutes away from downtown San José del Cabo. What might seem as a dry, semi- desert area of The Baja, quickly becomes a lush Oasis surrounded by palm trees and green fields.

Since 1996, Gloria & Patrick Greene have dedicated their efforts towards developing a sustainable agricultural process that benefits the land and the people around it. They pay close attention to impact on the surrounding environment working to keep their inputs to a minimum and produce close to home.

The Greenes have been based in San Jose del Cabofor more than 20 years, and have been involved in everything from hotel development, to helping create the organic market to the annual Dog Day Afternnoon, a local fundraiser that supports the Los Cabos Humane Society.

The farm is one of the leading producers of organic fruits and vegetables in the region and supplies local restaurants with produce.

These Days, the Greenes are concentrating their considerable energies on their Farm – To table restaurant: Floras Field Kitchen, where everything is prepared fresh: artisan breads are baked every morning, free range & antibiotic free chicken is raised nearby, the ham and bacon is cured here and the organic ingredients have just been picked and washed in the last couple of hours.
